I can remember the first time I heard this song a friend of my dads had a 66 corvette stingray he took me for a ride in it and this song was playing. the song had just come out still love the song and I still love the corvettes!!!!!!!

My former bandmate, Eddie Stair, formerly of Wilmington, DE, WROTE this song -- and it was stolen from him. It originally was an instrumental called "Castaway." He sent a demo tape to a record company, and never heard back. Months later, the record "Liar, Liar" comes out -- to the same exact tune -- by a group called "The Castaways." Eddie had not copyrighted the song, and he got ripped off royal. Stair is now a marketing exec with Nike on the West Coast, or was the last time I heard about him.

I had the 45 of this song over forty years ago. Love it then. Love it today. Only now, I have it on CD and I can watch it on YouTube, too. Rock and roll never forgets, indeed.
