Gold is an iconic color that will never go out of style. From Cleopatra to Beyonce, divas have rocked it throughout the ages. It is a fun, fabulous color that looks good on nearly every skin-tone and throughout all four seasons. Whether it's an elephant to adorn your table, or a ring to add some edge to your ensemble, you can use this color to take you from drab to fab.

The important thing when bringing gold into your wardrobe, or home decor, is to find a balance. Trust me, I would love to be dressed in it from head to toe but, unless you're a popstar, it's important not to go overboard. I've always had a love affair with this color, but as I got older, I realized that less is more.

My aunt always loved the color too. She had this great pair of flats that my mom bought her and she would wear them all the time... even to the grocery store. They always completed her look and became a signature piece of her wardrobe that I will never forget.
