I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to attend Breast Fest through the subsidy program. The connections made between all the women that attended were amazing. The films were thought-provoking, inspiring, touching and sometimes even funny! The comedy night was a blast! The staff and volunteers made us feel so special all weekend ... it was such a treat to attend! Thank you so much!

... the highlight of the weekend for me was the camaraderie that I felt with the other young women who attend. Being able to have open discussions about the ups and downs of having cancer, without worrying about looks of pity or the well-meaning but dreaded "Think positive and you'll beat this" pep talk gave me the opportunity to find peace with myself and my new normal. Just knowing that I'm not alone has made a world of difference to me.

To celebrate my one year diagnosis I went to BREAST FEST ! From the Friday night gala to the workshops and amazing films to meeting so many survivors and finally not feeling isolated, it was the perfect way to celebrate kicking cancer in the butt!! The staff and volunteers at Re-Think did an amazing job and I am still on a high from the whole experience. If you are a survivor, a friend or family member, or even someone who appreciates great films, go to BREAST FEST.You'll be glad you did.
