That's a Wrap on The Middle Ground!
On April 28th, I wrapped production on my NYU Grad Film thesis short
The Middle Ground. This is my most personal film yet and it was the best on-set directing experience I've ever had thanks to the incredible cast and crew. Thank you to all of those who donated, helped on set, or supported me through the pre-production and/or production of this film. I've never been more excited to share a piece of work. I can't wait until it's finished!
Post-Production has begun and we will have a first cut of the film by the end of the month. Then, we will continue to cut the film while working on the sound design and writing music, and will have the film finished to submit to the Sundance Film Festival by August 26th.
We need to raise about $3,500 more to cover production overages and post-production expenses. If you're interested in giving to the project, even $5 (every dollar helps), you can donate via

Anyone who donates $25 or more between now and June 30 will be entered to win a Nikon N55 SLR camera (yes, it's used, but I'm a big believer in reduce reuse recycle, and it's in perfect condition).
Anyone who donates $75 or more between now and June 30 will have be brought into the post-production process, will be shown early cuts of the film, will have a chance to share their feedback with the creative team, and see behind-the-scenes how the film evolves into a finished work.

What's next?
I'm working on the feature script that
The Middle Ground grew out of, doing producing work on a number of my classmates' films, helping to shape and create a political media project, and applying for a few university teaching positions. More info on all this next month!

This Is My Body (which has now been viewed over 596,000 times). It's awesome, a lot of fun, and so cool to see what the original video has inspired. Check it out
