A Note From The Bike Coalition Liaison |
Remember, your SDBC membership includes membership in the San Diego County Bike Coalition which includes a number of benefits. See the new coalition website at http://sdbikecoalition.org.
Safety tip of the week: When merging left… don’t wedge the cars! Turn from the rear!
- Leader signals left (but does not yet move left).
- You signal left when you see someone in front of you signal left.
- Last person makes sure it’s clear, yells “clear!”, and moves left.
- When you hear “clear!” behind you, double-check (look back), yell “clear!” to those ahead, and then you move left.
- Communicate! Person on the right follows lead of person on his or her left. Stay together. Look PRO!
