Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it’s easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.
Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon. |

SDBC 2017 Sponsors
We have some new sponsors this year - Spinergy, Bonnici Law Group, and Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering.
Emerald Textiles will continue as our title sponsor, UC Cyclery is continuing as our official bike club and sponsor of the men's and women's Cat 1/2 teams, and many sponsors that have supported us for years will continue to support us this year.
Please support our sponsors. Without them SDBC would not be able to maintain the racing teams and other activities that we have all enjoyed. Visit the sponsors page on the SDBC web site to view more information about each of our sponsors or click the logos to go the specific sponsor's web site. |

A Note From the Membership Director |
We did it!
52 new/renewing members
Thank you for making our Membership March a big success! Our goal was 49 new or renewing members, and we hit 52. Initially we believed this would grow our roster to 425 members, but in reviewing the rolls we discovered we had not yet removed expiring memberships for the first quarter of this year. So we made that adjustment and our membership count now stands at 358. Last year at this time we had 320 members. So year-over-year we’re up 38 members, or 10%! That’s good.
So a big THANK YOU! for joining or renewing. And if you haven’t, please do. You can join/renew online, or at most Saturday rides. Let’s keep San Diego’s oldest and largest bike club growing. Thanks!

Masters Race Team |
The SDBC Masters Team includes riders ages 35 and up from all categories. Masters races provide high quality racing with a consistent and tactical style that allows cyclists of different abilities to contribute to a team effort. Our goals for 2017-2018 are to build the number of active SDBC Masters racers, develop core groups of racers in each discipline, and accumulate points in the SoCal Cup series.
Riders in all categories who are interested in Masters racing can contact Team Director Andy Gurney at mastersdirector@sdbc.org for more information. Current Masters racers are also encouraged to touch base to establish an e-mail list and to set team priorities for the year.
Note: Due to difficulties with re-directing e-mail, your response or request may not have been received. If interested in Masters Racing, please contact me directly at agurney@san.rr.com.
