Here are three examples of confirmed outstanding guest speakers:

Anne Landstrom, Commercial Group Principal Advisor, Moffatt & Nichol
Anne brings over 30 years of direct experience as a senior manager in logistics and inland transportation capability. She retains extensive experience in supply chain planning and management, intermodal and trans-load logistics, ocean transportation, international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trade consulting, as well as all aspects of logistics and cargo goods movement. Her previous experience in the ocean transportation and logistics industry for Hapag-Lloyd, APL, UPS Supply Chain Solutions and DHL included working extensively with retail and consumer goods importers; exporters of agricultural cargo and forest products; refrigerated perishable product exporters and importers; solving transportation and supply chain cost issues throughout North America. Over the past six years Anne has worked as a consultant, currently at Moffatt & Nichol, working on projects involving market and economic feasibility studies to support investment in transportation infrastructure and logistics related industrial real estate. These projects involve analyzing cargo goods movement for both seaports and hinterland cargo markets in the U.S. Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and California as well as in Mexico. She currently plays a lead role in Moffatt & Nichol's development and provision of specialized logistics related analysis.
 
Paul Sorensen, Principal, BST Associates
Paul Sorensen is a principal with BST Associates, which was founded in 1986 as an economic research and strategic planning group that specializes in economic and financial evaluations of port and transportation projects. Paul focuses on market research, strategic planning, demand forecasting, benefit/cost analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, economic impact assessment, life cycle cost analysis, financial planning (including bond feasibility studies), rate/tariff assessments, sensitivity analysis, and project risk assessment.

Mike Hogan, Environmental Analyst, Port of Bellingham
Mike is an Environmental Analyst/Government Relations Specialist at the Port of Bellingham who has helped develop plans for a 227-acre redevelopment project on Bellingham's central waterfront as a member of the Port's waterfront redevelopment team. Mike studied chemistry and political science at the University of Utah and received a Masters in Public Health at the University of California at Berkeley. Hogan has been working on legislative affairs, environmental cleanup, contaminated property redevelopment, and salmon restoration projects since starting at the Port in 2004.

STOCKTON'S RON COALE PASSES AWAY
Longtime Port of Stockton, California USA Commissioner and APP Life Member Ron Coale passed away on April 17, 2014 at the age of 81. He was appointed by the Stockton City Council to the Stockton Port District Board of Port Commissioners in 1991 and served proudly in that position until March 2013. Ron served as Chairman of the Stockton Port Commission in 1995, 2000 and 2008. He played an active role in securing Rough and Ready Island from the United States Navy in 2000, allowing the Port of Stockton to become the third largest port and the largest inland port in terms of acreage in California, as well as being the second busiest inland port on the west coast.
