Originally elected in 1991, Roff
owns a real estate firm in Milton-Freewater, Oregon and has been
involved in property development, management, and construction for over
20 years. During her tenure,
she supported infrastructure improvements and lobbied for trade
policies to increase economic development and create jobs throughout
Eastern Oregon. This represents the first vacancy on the Port of
Umatilla Commission in over a decade. Roff's replacement will serve
until the term expires on June 30, 2015, along with commissioners Tim
Mabry and Kurt Bendixsen.
other news out of Umatilla, the City of Umatilla and the Port have
reached an agreement to end a zoning dispute regarding property
previously slated for industrial development. According to the Hermiston Herald (click here

land from the Port and decide later on its future use. The Port will
look elsewhere for the initially planned project, which included a $1.5
