JEFF WILSON ELECTED TO PORT OF LONGVIEW COMMISSION
Local businessman Jeff Wilson won with a landslide victory in the November 3rd general election to become the newest commissioner at the Port of Longview, Washington USA

Wilson captured 65 percent of the vote for a port commission seat. He will replace incumbent Darold Dietz, who did not seek
re-election.

Wilson owns and operates T.P.I., a portable toilet company, and has been involved in several community projects, including the restoration Longview's historic Shay Locomotive. 

He joins APP Past President Bob Bagaason and Doug Averett (who replaced Lou Johnson earlier this year) to round out the Port of Longview commission.

APP PEOPLE: DOUG DRUMMOND JOINS APP
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Port of Long Beach, California USA Harbor Commissioner Doug Drummond recently joined the APP Executive Committee as a regional representative.

Drummond, a former two-term Long Beach City Councilman, Vice Mayor and Police Department Commander, has served on the Long Beach Harbor Commission since 2011. Commissioner Drummond's more than 45 years of service to Long Beach began in 1959 when he became a Long Beach Police Department officer, attaining the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain, and then retiring in 1988 as Commander after 29 years on the force.

In the community, Mr. Drummond is past chairman of the Greater Long Beach Chapter of the American Red Cross and past president of the Downtown Lions Club of Long Beach, Long Beach Youth Centers, Inc., the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Long Beach, and the Historical Society of Long Beach. He was also a member of the Board for the Long Beach International City Celebration commemorating the City's 100th Anniversary in 1988.

Also an accomplished author, he has published two novels set in Long Beach (Cyclone Racer, 2003, and What Goes Around Comes Around, 2005) and co-authored a collector's book on the Remington Double Deringer (Dr. William H. Elliot's Remington Double Deringer, 2008).
