Paul N. Jaenichen, Sr. - Maritime Administrator, MARAD
Paul "Chip" Jaenichen was appointed by President Obama and has served as Maritime Administrator since 25 July 2014. He previously served as both Deputy and Acting Maritime Administrator from July 2012 to July 2014. Captain Jaenichen was a career naval officer, who retired after 30 years as nuclear trained Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. His final assignment was as Deputy Chief of Legislative Affairs for the Department of the Navy from October 2010 to April 2012. He served as Commanding Officer of USS ALBANY (SSN 753) from 1999 to 2002 and as Commander, Submarine Squadron ELEVEN in San Diego, California from 2007 to 2008. His shore tours included assignments as Director, Submarine/Nuclear Officer Distribution where he was responsible for over 5200 officers; as Officer-in-Charge of Moored Training Ship 635, one of two nuclear powered training platforms in Charleston, South Carolina, where he was responsible for over 1200 officer and enlisted operators; and as Chief, European and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Policy Division on the Joint Staff where he was responsible for military-to-military engagement with all 26 NATO member nations.

Bruce Stenslie - President & CEO, Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County
The EDC-VC is a public/private partnership, providing business advising, training 
and capitalaccess services to promote regional economic vitality, business expansion and job growth. Prior to joining the EDC-VC, Bruce Stenslie served as Deputy Director for the California Workforce Association,Executive Director for Workforce Policy and Workforce Investment Board for the Mayor's office in LosAngeles, Deputy Director of the Ventura County Human Services Agency and Executive Director of Workforce Investment Board, and Executive Director of the Candelaria American Indian Council, providing workforce and community development services throughout 11 California counties. In 2013, Stenslie's 
peers elected him as the Chair of the California Association of Local Economic Development. Stenslie also serves on the Board of Directors for
 several state and local organizations which include: California Enterprise Development Authority, TEAM California, California Manufacturing Healthand Welfare Trust, First 5 Ventura County, and Community Action Ventura County.

Commander Charlene Downey - Commander, U.S. Coast Guard 
Commander Charlene Downey assumed her duties as Deputy Sector Commander and Alternate Captain of the Port for U.S. Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles - Long Beach in July 2014.

APP welcomes its newest Associate Member, the Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry! 

Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry (HAPI) represents asphalt pavement producers, laydown contractors, and design consultants in the State of Hawai'i as well as industries related to pavement preservation. Formed in 1989, HAPI's purpose is to provide engineering promotion and education to advance the continuing use of asphalt pavement and pavement treatments throughout Hawai'i.
HAPI members design and construct pavement improvement projects including highways, roads, airfields, harbors, play courts, parking lots, athletic fields, and race tracks. They also provide pavement preservation treatments such as mill and fill, crack fill and seal, seal coat, chip seal and slurry seal. Their clients include County, State and Federal government agencies, the military and private land owners and developers.
