Alpaca, lion and bear costumes were worn by staff during training in order to be better equipped dealing with escaped animals.
During the exercise - which took place at Taiyuan Zoo in China's Shanxi Province - one worker in a bear costume 'attacked' staff from inside its cage, while a fake lion was recaptured in a net by keepers.
The drill follows a similar procedure at a Japanese zoo where an employee was dressed as an escaped zebra after an 'earthquake'.
